FireClaw: Digital Platform for an Independent Publisher

FireClaw publishes comics, books, and games from Eastern Europe. The content was strong. The digital presence was not keeping up with it, particularly for international audiences who could not navigate the Ukrainian-language version and needed an English platform that reflected the quality of what they were selling.
We redesigned and rebuilt the English-language platform: visual design, information architecture, front-end development, and performance optimization. The goal was a platform that matched the production quality of the content and converted international visitors into buyers.
What We Built
Visual Design & UX
- Full visual redesign anchored in the FireClaw brand: dark, bold, built for comics and games without feeling like a generic media template
- Content catalog designed to let the work lead: large visuals, clear metadata, minimal friction to the product page
- Episode and series navigation that made deep catalogs browsable without overwhelming new visitors
Front-End Development
- Responsive across devices: mobile-optimized, not just mobile-compatible
- Fast-loading architecture: image-heavy publishing sites are slow by default; we made performance a design constraint, not an afterthought
- Smooth transitions and animation that added to the immersive feel without compromising load times
- Consistent rendering across browsers, including older configurations common in the target markets
International Audience Considerations
- English-language UX patterns that did not assume familiarity with the Ukrainian publishing context
- Clear product discovery paths for visitors who arrived without prior brand knowledge
- Optimized content hierarchy for SEO in English-language search
